The occurrence of terrorism has increased dramatically in recent years in European nations. Countries of NATO has until recently been experiencing times of peace and a lack of terrorism, this has caused them to be slack and allowed for many more acts of terrorism to slip through the crevices in their cracked wall of defense. The increase of terrorist organizations, as well as the recent refugee situation, has arguably caused many suicide bombings of planes, trains, and stadiums in European countries. Acts of terrorism also extend to things such as shootings in restaurants and bulldozing of citizens with large trucks. These disasters cause casualties in the hundreds with the number of injuries reported near the thousands. Countries allowing for the large intake of refugees with a lack of adequate border control and proper regulation has allowed for terrorists to gain more freedom in their activities in foreign countries. Even if a stricter border control system is implemented, it would not promise positive results, after all the NSA doesn’t seem to be doing much work for U.S.A. The freedom that is unintentionally given to the terrorists has caused an exponential increase in avoidable casualties.
While NATO proposed many valid points and possible solutions such as limiting the exports of weapons, the sharing of classified information regarding terrorist activities and posing a restriction on public speeches that promote terrorism, many of these countries do not plan to change their immigration policies. Their solutions are mostly based around avoiding possible terrorist confrontations and acts of terrorism instead of fighting them head on, we find that incomprehensible. Our great state of Iran has been aiding middle eastern countries for decades with drone support and general military education. Trying to avoid the fight can only be viewed as a weakness, the terrorist groups will only be more motivated to advance their goals if weakness is shown.
However, it will be acknowledged that when NATO was not busy roasting Turkey for not meeting their GDP requirements, the committee was making much progress and ventured toward their goal of creating the solution to the topic of terrorism in Europe. They reached an agreement and combined all of the proposed solutions creating a resolution that even the Supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, would be pleased with if he were involved in this issue.
