A terrorist group has just recently captured a cruise ship carrying many hundred people departing from Europe while it was on course from the coast of Somalia. They are threatening to kill one person after every hour unless they receive a ransom of $15 000 000 USD and free passage from the ship. They claim to hold explosive weapons, bullet weapons, sharp weapons and have many pirates in their crew. The AU has interviewed the presumed leader of the pirates and has gotten valuable information. It seems that these pirates are very serious and are willing to take lives unless their goal is achieved. During the time of the negotiation, the situation drastically worsened. The Somalian pirates had located the AU headquarters and invaded the conference room. Five members of the AU was kidnapped and are held captives and the ransom price has increased to $75 000 000 unmarked USD. Since the beginning of the event, eight people has been executed, it has been made very clear that they are serious and the AU has become desperate; the AU has paid the original sum of $15 000 000 USD but due to the rise of the ransom price and them being pirates, the passengers of the Oceania Insignia are continuing to be executed. Since then, the pirates have breezed in the AU headquarters multiple times and continue to express their rage that their ransom have not been paid, they have brought a body and laid it on the floor outside of the main doors of the conference room and threatened to kill everyone in the conference if they continued to be disappointed. The AU has since shifted their views from trying to appease the pirate group to tracking down the captured ship and arrest the pirates. This situation has become dire and the price of the ransom continue to rise due to the repeated incompetent questions posed by the AU committee. The identities of the Somali pirates have not been confirmed and the pirates have no agreed to release the location of the ship unless the AU confirms that they will be paying the large sum of what is now $90 000 000 USD. As of now, it seems very unlikely that this solution will be solved because the proposed solution that is brought up the most is to bomb the ship along with all its passengers.
